RYAN ROETER
Co-Founder & Operating Partner
Ryan is the designated real estate broker for MainGate Management and has been managing multi family apartments since 2014. Ryan grew up in Bellevue and attended the University of Washington, graduating in 2009 with a degree in Business. After college, Ryan joined the US Army and served as an Infantry Officer in Operation Enduring Freedom.
KYLE ROETER
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Kyle is a former Technical Product Manager at Amazon Web Services where he worked on AI chatbots and software solutions to improve business operations. He is a former Army Green Beret and Infantry officer and served in Operation Enduring Freedom. Prior to Amazon Kyle worked as a management Consultant for the Boston Consulting Group. He has a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy and a Masters from the Wharton School of Business.
DYLAN ROETER
Partner, Business Development
Dylan leads Business Development at MainGate Management, bringing more than a decade of commercial real estate brokerage experience. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in over $1 billion in transaction volume across Washington State. Dylan earned a bachelor's degree in Finance from Washington State University in 2015.

From brokerage and development to acquisition and property management, the members of our board have worked in every aspect of real estate across several economic cycles. MIKE ROETER
Mike brings over 40 years of experience in multi-family real estate where he has excelled in owning, operating, and renovating properties in the Puget Sound area. He has consistently delivered results for investors through property acquisition and renovations having led 115 transactions throughout his career. Mike's expertise lies in maximizing property potential where he has solidified his reputation as a trusted figure in this field.
GARTH OLSEN
Since 1986, Garth has been a commercial real estate broker focusing on the downtown Seattle market. He specializes in all aspects of office leasing, including complex relocation, renewal, and disposal of excess office space. Garth has consistently been a top producer in the industry and has represented major corporations as well as local firms
JEFF GILSON
Jeff has worked as a real estate professional across a number of roles for over 40 years. He was the Vice President and Managing Broker of Pinnacle, a full‐service real estate company and national leader in the management of investment real estate where he was involved in all aspects of brokerage activity specializing in multi-family properties. Jeff is currently the Managing Broker and Partner for Alliance Multifamily Investments and acts as an advisor for clients both locally and internationally.
The MainGate Story
Kyle and Ryan grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where they learned about property management by watching their father build a successful management and acquisitions company. They both joined the Military after college and want to apply the mission-driven leadership they found in the Army and the operational principles they gained from working in the private sector to MainGate.
Drawing inspiration from their childhood and their military service, Kyle and Ryan founded MainGate Management in 2023. The name "MainGate" gives a nod to the central entry of a military post and also signifies the main access point where residents can find their next apartment community.
